JVP, u have always been and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. Thank u for helping make a name of my alma mater...me and my family will forever be grateful.
Agreed. A true hero of the human spirit. We have been blessed to have witnessed and experienced a great man. Not perfect. But he now lives with the One who is. A msn who defined CLASS. If we all touch one life as he touched so many, we will truly honor his legacy. We pray for Sue and the entire Paterno family.
JoePa, you were much more than just a coach to so many. Thank you does not even begin to express my gratitude being a role model to me and for everything you have done for my alma mater. People like you are a dieing breed, and you will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace Coach Paterno.
Still can't believe he's gone. I've been watching/going to PSU football games since I was 8 years old. What he did for this university and football program was a big reason for why I decided to come here. I only got to shake his hand once when I was 12 years old, but despite not knowing him, he still had a profound impact on my life. It was tough to say goodbye at the viewing today, but it's comforting to know that he is no longer suffering.
I'm feeling so grateful to two of my students today who, upon hearing that we were unable to get tickets, offered us their two extra ones so that Terry and I can go. Penn State students have hearts of gold! Or should I say blue and white?
